Netbook Computer &  Cloud Computing

The Netbook Computer is a low powered smaller version of the laptop computer targeted for Cloud Computing users. They rely heavily on the internet for remote access to web based applications hence perfect for Cloud Computing uses who don't need the larger specifications of a desk top or laptop computer.  In Cloud Computing there is no need for high powered computers as software and applications are accessed via the internet hence the niche market being created for the Netbook Computer.

Today there is an overwhelming array of low-cost but highly portable and efficient little laptops. Popular brands include the original Asus Eee PC costing between $299 and $599 from this line, depending on the actual model; The HP Mini-Note with high resolution screen prices range between $499 and $829; Acer Aspire One with a Linux version at around $329, the XP model is only $20 more; and the MSI Wind from Taiwan a higher end model for $599.

You really only need these devices for access to the internet. Primarily designed for web browsing and e-mailing, the netbook computer does not require large specifications for downloading software and adding applications.  Netbooks typically run either Windows XP or Linux operating systems depending on the model and many models offer an option of both. There is obviously no need for the more resource-intensive operating systems like Windows Vista.

If all you need is access to the internet, web mailing and browsing, or you are a cloud computer users the low cost option of the Netbook Computer it ideal.
